Kelly Phelan
Kelly graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws. She was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in March 2003 and to the Registrar of Practitioners of the High Court of Australia in May 2003. Kelly relocated to Dubbo in 2003 from Adelaide and happily now calls Dubbo home.
Kelly joined the firm in 2004 and now runs the firm's family law practice which includes divorce, property settlements, children's residency/contact issues and child support. She also practices in criminal law, industrial law (employment), care and protection law and has thorough advocacy experience in the Local, District, Family and Federal Magistrate's Courts.
Kelly is supported by her assistant Kylie.
Trevor Jones
Trevor was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 1997. Upon admission he was employed by the firm Holman Webb in Sydney where he practiced corporate, commercial and property law.
Upon leaving Holman Webb Trevor moved to London where he was employed by the British Government as a Legal Officer on the BSE (Mad Cows Disease) Government Inquiry. At the cessation of the Inquiry he was then employed at the London law firm Bristows working primarily on pharmaceutical and technology patent litigation.
Trevor returned to Sydney at the beginning of 2000 and was employed by the firm Kemp Strang working primarily on corporate/commercial law, property, trade practices, liquor licensing and GST. In 2002 he moved to the Sydney firm of NSA Lawyers working exclusively in film and television law on such projects as Star Wars, Matrix II & III, The Crocodile Hunter and many other well known Australian film and television projects.
Trevor grew up on a farm between Narromine and Tullamore and returned to Dubbo at the beginning of 2006, joining the firm in April of that year.
His practice areas are corporate / commercial law, business structuring, partnership agreements, shareholder’s agreements, securitisation, trade practices, intellectual property (trade marks, patents and copyright), conveyancing, liquor licensing and estate planning.

Tracey Redden
Tracey commenced employment at MJ Duffy & Son in March 1993 as a Legal Clerk. After 5 years gaining a thorough knowledge of legal mechanics, at the behest of the firm she enrolled at Macquarie University and obtained her Diploma in Conveyancing Law & Practice Law in 2002 and her unrestricted Conveyancer's Licence in 2003. Tracey is now one of the firm's senior conveyancing practitioners.
During her 15 years at MJ Duffy & Son Tracey has established sound relationships with all of her clientele. She acts for many of the region's most prominent property developers, investors and also first home buyers, retirees and anyone else in need of conveyancing services. Tracey's amiable personality has also allowed her to develop close professional relationships with local councils, financial institutions and government authorities such as the Office of State Revenue and the Taxation Office.
Tracey has a thorough knowledge of all aspects of conveyancing whether it be large scale developments or one off purchases and sales. She has extensive experience in subdivisions, residential and commercial leases, mortgages, property securitisation and a sound understanding of taxation and stamp duty implications of conveyancing.
Support Staff
There are also twelve para-legal and secretarial staff employed by the firm who have many years of legal experience. In addition to the assistants to the Partners and Associates mentioned above we also have Val Roberts who handles our wills and estate planning matters, our receptionist Jo, and Diane who manages our accounts department.
